"Cat's claw is a series of fabric collages that vividly represent the entwining, suffocating, and parasitic nature of cat’s claw, an invasive plant notoriously prevalent in New Orleans. The work delves into the entanglement of internal and external relationships and the necessity of self-maintenance, highlighting the insidious nature of the id." -- Denna Ameen
