In honor of Prospect.4 and to observe its impending tenth anniversary, Good Children Gallery has invited the Brazil-origin art collective assume vivid astro focus, or avaf, to produce a new, site-specific installation, in which the co-op art gallery is repurposed as a community resource for others to act out their fantasies of artistic virtuosity. With curator Dan Cameron acting as interlocutor, avaf and Good Children Gallery have developed an exhibition concept that transforms the gallery into a kaleidoscopic performance venue, where everyone has the opportunity to share his or her special gift with the rest of the world.

While 'avalanches volcanoes asteroids floods' is designed to function in keeping with visitors’ spontaneous outbursts of creativity, it has also been conceived to showcase those who wish to sign up for rotating Saturday evening showcases. Pre-arranged time slots, ranging from 3 to 30 minutes, are available to all New Orleans residents and visitors through the Good Children website. ----> Sign up here!<----
