Jessica Bizer's paintings investigate the complex energy of the contemporary landscape, a space dominated by digital expression. She explores the deviating, often contradicting, narratives contained in the everyday environment, a place in which the fantastical constantly collides with the utilitarian. Her multi-layered compositions examine this drama by engaging contrast, ambiguity and absurdity.

Her recent exhibitions include a solo show at the Foundation Gallery in New Orleans, and group shows in New York, New Orleans and Atlanta. Her work has appeared in Nylon Magazine, Hyperallergic, and on National Public Radio's Studio 360. She has paintings in the collection of the Bennetton Corporation and the New Orleans Museum of Art.
